Supporting Trusts To Upscale Critical Care
As the scale of the COVID-19 emergency became apparent, NHS Trusts across the country were asked to prepare for unprecedented demand on capacity in ICU and Critical Care.
A delivery of 100 EconoLite Laptop Carts to the newly opened Nightingale Hospital Bristol.
Among many of the challenges faced, was the need to be able to access electronic patient data quickly and safely in these up-scaled and temporarily re-purposed treatment areas.
Trusts needed the kind of quantities usually required for large scale, pre-planned projects, but in a matter of days.
We delivered 60 of our new Rapid Deployment Carts to Clatterbridge Hospital.
It was clear that a new solution was required to meet the challenge. Our Sales Director, Paul Tyrer began discussions with NHS England to gain a thorough understanding of their logistical and operational requirements, and then our design team got to work creating a product that met those needs and could be manufactured at scale within days.

Our new Rapid Deployment Cart was available just seven days from the original prototype design and was part of a portfolio of solutions that helped numerous trusts to meet their capacity planning targets. These included Wirral University Teaching Hospitals, Swansea Bay Health Board and the field hospitals in Bristol and Sunderland.
