Offering much more than traditional patient entertainment options, this user-friendly solution empowers patients to access a wide range of relevant hospital resources, such as informative leaflets to better inform them of what to expect during their stay, maps showing hospital layouts, information about staff on duty, available patient services, and different ways to communicate with hospital staff and loved ones at home. All these options serve to make the patient more comfortable and reduce anxiety levels throughout their stay, whilst also helping with the recovery process and decreasing the likelihood of readmission.
While the product is designed to improve patient experiences, we gave additional consideration to improving staff welfare and hospital efficiencies. It helps alleviate the pressures on healthcare providers by offering innovative time-saving capabilities to better manage hospital workflows. Digital meal ordering helps reduce the time it takes for staff to collect orders as well as reducing food wastage by over £260 per bed*, while non-urgent requests are triaged within Fusion and distributed to the most relevant department for that request. It can also facilitate communication with patients who speak other languages, reducing costs for medical translation services. And, since the patient education and entertainment package keeps patients successfully distracted for longer, it also allows clinicians to spend more time performing their necessary tasks.
